Despite their minimalist line-up, BluesCulture deliver a sound which is dense and compact. The unpredictable interplay between the band members is extremely communicative and takes the listener on a seemingly effortless journey through the crossover zone between archaic blues, funk, rock'n'roll and world music. Searing guitar combines with driving dance beats, soulful harmonica passages frame Abi's inimitable vocals and the whole thing radiates an astonishing degree of authenticity. With Blues Culture, Abi Wallenstein and his musical cohorts have succeeded in capturing on record the spirit which has fascinated live audiences for years. In April 2007, "Blues Culture" was awarded the quarterly prize of the German Record Reviewers Jury.
Recorded, mixed and mastered by Dirk Hornemann in V76 Studio, Hamburg.
Produced by Abi Wallenstein, Dirk Hornemann and Jan Mohr.
